New Estuary Boat Launching Ramp Sort messages oldest to newest | Date: | 03/10/2008 | | Message: | From Dungarvon Place this is our nearest estuary access and a much needed amenity. Very good idea. | | Contributor: | Dave Wood | | | Date: | 25/06/2007 | | Message: | It is currently very hard for residents between the Golf Club and the boat ramp to get canoes & dinghy's over the rock seawall and into the harbour. There is currently one "non vehicular type ramp" some 100m South of the main boat ramp, but this is not enough. We would like the committee to make a representation to Council for an additional dinghy & canoe access ramp (through the seawall) to be installed in the vicinity of the Northern end of Northwest Anchorage. There is a walkway there which continues up to Omaha Drive and this would seem a logical location which would facilitate access for a large number of residents.
