| Omaha Classic Walk/Run | | 01/04/2012 (Sun) : 8:15am -see website below for details | | Location: Fraser Reserve, 57 Broadlands Road - by Omaha Surf Club | The Omaha Classic Run/Walk is held in picturesque Omaha Beach, just 50 minutes from Auckland City, on Sunday 1st April 2012. Come and experience the beauty of Omaha Beach whilst enjoying a community event. Funds raised will be invested in physical activity related items to benefit the children of Matakana School.
Events include a 10km Run/Walk, a 5km Run/Walk, and a 2km Childrens Dash. Registrations are now open! EARLYBIRD SPECIAL - Register before 01 March 12 and go into the draw to win a $200 Shoe Science voucher.
This event is in its third year and is operated by a team of parents who are passionate about run/walk events. The focus of the Omaha Classic is to encourage our children and community to be active.
This event is growing annually and is a much welcomed event in the Matakana Coast area, which is home to a flourishing wine industry, stunning scenic reserves, and regional parks. We invite you to experience the beauty that Matakana Coast has to offer by spending the weekend and exploring the area.
