Club members train regularly at Omaha Wharf, off Omaha Drive. We would like to invite anyone to come along and try out paddling, it's a sport you can participate in at any age. We are particularly keen to get some Junior teams underway. For more information and for training times please phone one of the people whose contact information is listed below. Crews from the club participate in NZ regattas as far north as Kaitaia and as far south as Raglan, and the club held its first Mixed Crew regatta in April 2008 at Omaha Beach, and the next in April 2009 with a very good response. Club members participated in the World Waka Ama Championships in Sacramento, USA, in 2008 and teams competed in the National Sprint Championships held at Lake Karapiro in mid-January 2009. We are affiliated to the Taitokerau Waka Ama Assoc. and to the main governing NZ body of waka ama 'Nga Kaihoe o Aotearoa Inc' (www.wakaama.co.nz).
